Sky Fighters
Les chevaliers du ciel

Director: Gérard PIRES

Sky Fighters

The thrilling new film from Gérard Pirès (TAXI) is an allstar, big budget adaptation of Charlier and Uderzo’s famous comic strip Tanguy and Laverdure; a fully-loaded jet-plane adventure ride set in the picturesque Parisian skies.

After a state-of-the-art fighter plane is stolen from an air show, Captain Marchelli (Benoît Magimel) and Captain Vallois (Clovis Cornillac) of the French Air Force are dispatched to the area over the North Sea where the plane was last seen. Finally chasing it down, Marchelli ignores instructions, and shoots it from the sky. So begins a white-knuckle tale of pilots, international terrorists and shady government officials. All will collide spectacularly above the Champs-Elysées during the Bastille Day military parade.

The exhilarating aerial sequences were filmed above Paris entirely without digital trickery and with the full support of the French Air Force. Pirès fluid eye for action, snappy editing and the big-name cast ensure a remarkable ride. Seen by over 1 million French cinemagoers in 2005, SKY FIGHTERS is the Gallic answer to Top Gun!
