Lemming

This inventive, intriguing and hugely entertaining thriller about identity is the much-anticipated new project from the award-winning Dominik Moll, who delivers on the promise shown in his directorial debut Harry… He’s Here To Help. The film features a bright trio of performances from Laurent Lucas, Charlotte Gainsbourg and especially the phenomenal Charlotte Rampling in a deliciously malevolent role.

Alain (Lucas) and his wife of three years, Bénédicte (Gainsbourg) have recently moved to the modern community of Bel Air in Southern France. Alain designs hi-tech electronic devices for a firm owned by Richard Pollock (André Dussollier). The night Pollock and his unnerving wife Alice (Rampling) come to dinner is the moment things begin to unravel for the young couple. After much awkwardness, Alice voices brutally inappropriate allegations against her seemingly pleasant husband over the appetizers, and they leave before the main course. But things only get stranger from there…

Filled with tension and moments of dark hilarity, LEMMING is a masterful, unsettling and completely unpredictable thriller of guilt, desire and sexual fantasy. You may never hold a dinner party again!
