Bonjour! Welcome to the Alliance Française French Film Festival 2006 website. From the 8th of March 2006, the Alliance Française French Film Festival, in cooperation with Palace Cinemas and the French Embassy will present an exciting and broad range of French movies in Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.
This year's Opening night selection is the wildly entertaining ANTHONY ZIMMER, a sexy thriller set amidst the glamorous South of France, starring Sophie Marceau and Yvan Attal.
Other 2006 Festival highlights include: Cannes Best Film winner THE CHILD (L'enfant); the critically lauded new film from Philippe Garrel REGULAR LOVERS (Les amants reguliers); Academy Award-winning director Danis Tanovic's all-star new drama HELL (L'Enfer), featuring Emmanuelle Beart & Carole Bouquet; Bertrand Blier's provocative comedy HOW MUCH DO YOU LOVE ME? (Combien tu m'aimes) starring Monica Bellucci & Gérard Depardieu; Dominik Moll's LEMMING with Laurent Lucas, Charlotte Gainsbourg and the phenomenal Charlotte Rampling; François Ozon's TIME TO LEAVE (Le temps qui reste) with Jeanne Moreau; the absorbing Hitchcockian thriller IN HIS HANDS (Entre ses Mains) from director Anne Fontaine (Nathalie); plus the erotically charged dramas COLD SHOWERS (Douches Froides) and THE RING FINGER (L'annulaire).
